About CEPU

The CEPU (Communications Division) provides help and advice to employees within Australia's postal and telecommunications sectors. 

Our members work across a number of companies, including:

• Australia Post
• Telstra
• Optus
• Vodafone
• Commander
• Visionstream
• Manpower
• Adecco

The CEPU Commuications Division sits within the broader CEPU, which is a national union representing workers in the Communications, Electrical and Plumbing Industries.

We were formed in 1994 through an amalgamation between the Communication Workers Union of Australia, the Electrical Trades Union and then Plumbing and Gasfitters Employees Union of Australia (now the Plumbing Trades Employees Union).

Combined, the CEPU represents over 130,000 workers.
