Post upgrades ROM Model
(9 March, 2009): Australia Post's Commercial Division has announced has announced an upgrade to the Resource Optimisation Model (ROM).
The new version is ROM 5 and will be implemented between now and June this year.
Post claim that the new model will provided a more accurate reflection of duties and times that apply in retail. Changes to ROM include:
• Increased accuracy of times allocated for NetPOS transactions
• Incorporation of non-customer times
• Introduction of a paper based ROM 5 guide
• Verification of all new transactions including checking of MODAPTS
• Online listing of transactions groups providing greater visibility
Retail members are asked to provide feedback to their branch on their experiences with ROM 5. The Union is keen to hear comments about the changes made to ROM or additional changes that need to be made to ROM 5.
